Lindsay Builders was founded in 2004 by Joshua Hockstra and has since grown steadily into a mid-size company specializing in the construction of large custom estate homes around Washington D.C. and Baltimore. Lindsay Builders has developed an excellent reputation amongst local residents, architects, engineers and subcontractors.

Under Josh’s guidance the company and its employees practice a culture of honesty, hard work and absolute dedication to successful projects and satisfied customers.

The shared goal of our designers, architects, and trade partners is to build the best home—and we never settle for the status quo. Lindsay Builders carefully helps you choose the right lot or raw land, spends time mastering the home design by over-consideration of needs and use of space, assembles the best materials based on budget and desire, and constructs and delivers your custom home.

We take into account everything before making suggestions and recommendations: from factors outside your home—such as annual weather patterns, land topography and elevation, natural wind flow, and the direct light from the sun throughout the day—to important details and construction materials. Brick, cement, stucco, steel, and, wood all have conductive properties that are to be considered when ensuring a home is sound in all aspects.
